BELOW LEFT: Clarence Boon? Any descendants, please step forward. I note (googling) that Launceston's (yes) famous cricketer is David Clarence Boon and other 20th century Boon men's names include Clarence. RIGHT: Gran-Ma's brother, so another Boon brother. Can David Boon (one of them) identify him?
SET 10 cake and baby. The next photo may be linked to this one, I thought, and its captions therefore help Boons to decode who they are, if they are Ethel and Len. Was baby Beatrice the child of Ethel and Len? But Leonard Boon was not born until 25 January 1883 and it is impossible this Len of the cake can be that moustached gent above by 1897.
SET 11. Does anyone know the young ladies in the photos at bottom? They remind me of an old image and phrase: "Salvation Army lassies" but perhaps every second woman in Launceston streets was similarly attired in the 1880s and 1890s. Wonderful photos. It would be even more wonderful to label them with names.
