Mr. W. Wilson read the financial statement, which showed £15 in hand towards the £60 needed by June 30. After discussion on ways and means to raise the additional amount required, on the motion of Rev. W. J. Stephens, it was decided to hold a fair on May 9. Mr. L. A. Procter agreed to write to Mr. and Mrs. J. Blakney, Mrs. Robt. Brooks, Mrs. Roy Bardenhagen, Mr. and Mrs. R. Russen, Mr. E. Kerkham, Mr. E. E. Bennett, and others to ascertain if they would be prepared to form a concert party to give musical programmes at Lilydale, Karoola, Bangor, Tunnel, and Lebrina before June 30.
Messrs. M. Collins and F. Kelp agreed to try to arrange Saturday night dances to help along the good work. A lengthy list of unpaid fees was tabled, and although in some cases it may be necessary to remit them, in other cases the committee were of the opinion that a better response should have been made. It was decided to call a meeting of ladies at an early date to make the necessary arrangements for the fair.

It was decided to accept the offer of Messrs. Hopwood and Co. to supply music on the show ground with a gramophone and amplifier. They would also be prepared to broadcast the opening address of Mr. A. L. Wardlaw.
The secretary reported having met with the usual generous response from Launceston business people, and also that he had made satisfactory arrangements for a supply of poultry pens. It was left with the secretary to complete arrangements for a concert party from Launceston to supply the musical programme on show night.
