LILYDALE
ELECTRICITY FOR NORTH LILYDALE SOUGHT
At a meeting of the Lilydale Council on Saturday, when the Deputy Warden, (Cr. G. E. Archer) was in the chair, it was reported that an effort was being made to have the electriclty supply extended to North Lllydale.
It was reported that portion of Station Road, Lilydale, would be sealed, and that the Minister for Lands and Works (Major Davies) had approved a grant for filling in a ditch in front of the area school and other buildings at Lilydale. It was decided to remove dangerous trees in Retreat Road.
It was reported that immunisation of children against dephtheria [diphtheria] had begun, and that many of the parents who at first had objected to the scheme now had agreed to have their children treated.
It was decided to co-operate in the militia recruiting campaign.
